| Approximately 1 million barrels a day pump through the 5 foot wide pipe (interior width). That's about 11,000 gallons of Alaskan crude every minute. Let's see, at 30 miles to the gallon I could drive about 330,000 miles a minutes - Hmmm, that's about 19 million miles an hour. I think that might just be a bit over the speed limit. That would shorten my commute time. I wonder how much of the morning news I'd catch in .03 milliseconds? Of course I would have to stop and fill up about 700 times every minute. I think I need to work on a bigger gas tank. |
