| We get to Talkeetna Lodge early. The room isn't ready for us to check in to. The back patio is beautiful with flowers and a great view of the mountains. We decide to relaxed on the patio for a bit until our room is ready. Wow - Why do I look so unpleasant all the time? |
| While we wait for our room we decide to get some desert and coffee and eat on the outdoor patio of the dining room which is just on the other side of these pretty flowers above. Here Dad sits and watches the planes take off. Below: Mt McKinley was completely socked in with clouds. Can’t see anything but the base. Small planes take off every couple minutes and turn toward McKinley taking tourists on flight seeing trips to the mountain and glacier. Don't know how much they're going to see with all the clouds, smoke & fog today. |
